Jill Denton, Realtor, Stager and Interior Redesigner.  www.jilldenton.com 925-998-7747

I’m Jill! I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. I LOVE all the Bay Area has to offer. It’ a fantastic place to grow up and LIVE!

Let’s zip ahead a few years…. After graduating from college, I spent 15 years in advertising.  Using both the left and right side of her brain (I became an advertising guru) helping clients plan, execute and produce effective and creative advertising campaigns.  It was a good run, but one day in 2002 it hit me … I can do what I’m passionate about and make a living!  And I started my own Interior Redesign & Staging Company (Changing Spaces) and I love every minute of it!

Then, in addition to Interior Redesign and Staging, I decided to add Realtor to my list of services. It was a natural progression for me.  You see, I’ve staged so many homes and people are always asking me if I can recommend a good Real Estate Agent … and now I can!  My life revolves around Interior Redesign, Staging and Real Estate.

My “secret” … I LOVE what I do!

I started this blog to share my thoughts, knowledge and ideas regarding Real Estate, Interior Redesign and Staging.  I’m also looking forward to sharing the thoughts, knowledge and ideas of my colleagues … and have a little fun while doing it. I run my businesses out of Pleasanton, California.  Based in the East Bay, but I’ve been known to work all over the San Francisco Bay Area.

Feel free to contact me about your real estate, staging or interior redesign needs!

Tray ceilings are meant to be anything but white! YES, paint it! Without seeing it in person, I can only make general recommendations. One idea is to do a lighter shade of the main color (not too exciting, but better than white). Red is such a bold color, I find it hard to visualize a red wall plus a red ceiling and if you lighten it up, well, then it’s pink. So then you can look to your accent or third color in the room. Do you have a third accent color?

Two colors I love on ceilings are a pale blue (make the ceiling appear higher and give s the illusion of sky) and a pale yellow (especially for dark rooms because it gives feels like sunlight).
It’s very hard to tell you what to do without being there. Hopefully, this has helped you to make a decision, if not, I highly recommend you get a Color Consultation to be sure you make the right decision.
      Best of luck!
      Jill
